Op-ed submissions are welcome and should adhere to these guidelines:
They must be no more than 550 words – 450 if they hope to be considered for the print version of The Oklahoman -- and we prefer that a jpeg head shot of the author or authors be attached. Mutli-bylined submissions should no more than two authors.
Op-eds should focus on policy issues, particularly those that relate to Oklahoma, and should be written by those who have expertise on the subject.
We do not accept op-eds that have been submitted to other publications.
We do not accept submissions that tout products or personalities.
