The Pardon and Parole Board will hold a special meeting Friday, the day House Bill 1269 takes effect, to vote whether to recommend commutation for nearly 900 people convicted of crimes that are now misdemeanors. The Pardon and Parole Board director said he thinks this will be the largest commutation in the nation's history.
