Coronavirus in Oklahoma
The number of positive COVID-19 tests reported Wednesday by the Oklahoma State Department of Health increased by 747 to 425,746.
The Health Department reported Wednesday it will be changing how it reports COVID-related deaths. OSDH will be using a Provisional Death Count so that the state's reported deaths mirror that of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and will show a "more timely picture" of the disease's impact in Oklahoma.
Before Wednesday there was a difference of nearly 2,500 between the death toll reported by OSDH and the toll reported by the CDC. Wednesday's Provisional Death Count was 7,035.
