If you are a Canadian County Democrat, precinct officer elections will be held virtually

Registered Democrats may participate in the Canadian County Democrats’ first-ever virtual precinct officer elections at 7 p.m. March 11.The group will elect chairs, vice chairs and secretaries for 50 neighborhood precincts on Zoom, a video conferencing platform that can be accessed by computer or phone.To preregister and get more information, go to Preregistration will close March 4 to give organizers time to prepare for the virtual meetings.Democrats who are not online may participate by phone or request and return a preregistration form by March 1. Those interested may receive a form by calling or texting 405-326-3600 and providing the participant's name, voter mailing address and phone number.“We are looking for grassroots leaders to help build the Democratic Party, get out the vote and raise funds in Canadian County,” said Jody Harlan, Canadian County Democrats chair. “We always have vacancies, so there’s a good chance that every Democrat who’s interested can be elected.”For more information about Canadian County Democrats, go to, @canadiancodems on Facebook, @DemsCounty on Twitter and canadiancodems on Instagram.The group normally meets at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month via Zoom.
