Oklahoma high school football recruiting: Choctaw OL Cade McConnell commits to TCU

CHOCTAW – One of the top offensive linemen in the state has made his college decision.

Cade McConnell, a junior at Choctaw, announced Sunday he was verbally committing to TCU. He did so in a 2-minute video on Twitter.

McConnell earned a selection to The Oklahoman's 108th All-State football team as a second-team offensive lineman. He's also No. 12 in The Oklahoman's way-too-early 2022 Super 30 rankings

Last season, McConnell anchored an offensive line that became one of the best in the state, helping lead Choctaw to the state championship game for the first time in 60 years.

A 6-foot-6, 290-pound prospect, McConnell also held offers from Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota and Tulsa, among others. He's the first Oklahoman in the 2022 class to commit to TCU.
