Oklahoma State football: Cowboys get commitment from Texas quarterback Garret Rangel
STILLWATER — To cap off a fast-paced recruiting week for Oklahoma State football, the Cowboys added a quarterback on Friday with the commitment of Garret Rangel of Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas.
Rangel, 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, announced his commitment on Twitter on Friday.
He is the fourth player in the last three days to commit to the Cowboys’ 2022 class, including Pawkuska’s Mason Gilkey, a 6-foot-4, 170-pound wide receiver.
Rangel comes from the same high school as Jaden Nixon, the running back signee OSU added last December.
As a junior last fall, Rangel threw for 2,429 yards with 27 touchdowns and five interceptions, completing 69.1 percent of his passes as Lone Star went 7-4.
Rangel, a three-star recruit, is the seventh commitment and the fourth offensive player in the 2022 recruiting class for the Cowboys.
