Oklahoma high school boys basketball: Karson Fellers big performance leads Oklahoma Christian Academy past Southwest Covenant

EDMOND – As Karson Fellers gathered the pass, he gave a pump fake to get the defender in the air.

Fellers then rose for a basket, threw up a spinning layup while being fouled and watched it tumble in the basket as he fell to the ground. It brought a strong applause from his teammates and fans in the stands as the third quarter winded down.

Fellers' basket was one of many for him Friday, as Class 2A No. 14 Oklahoma Christian Academy topped Southwest Covenant 70-51 on homecoming. Fellers tallied 28 points, leading all scorers, and helped the Eagles get out to a quick start.

OCA (12-7 overall) led 16-4 after the first quarter and held SW Covenant star Kirk Cole to no points. Cole finished with 18, but the deficit proved too much.

Carson Thomas added 13 points while Thompson Whitehead and Logan Williams each tallied 10 for OCA. Anthony Cox added 11 for the Patriots (13-6).
