Oklahoma State football player tracker: Who is staying and who is leaving?
STILLWATER — The announcements seemed to come on a daily basis in early January.
Players announcing if they were staying at Oklahoma State or going somewhere else — either to the NFL or to another college.
The pandemic-related NCAA rule change that allowed football players an additional year of eligibility, regardless of whether their team played a full season in the fall, has set up the most unique offseason of player-shuffling in college football history.
Players who would have been out of eligibility are facing decisions on whether they want to stay in school for another season.
On top of that, there has been the usual offseason movement of players between programs via the transfer portal.
Here’s a look at the comings and goings at Oklahoma State so far this offseason:
Seniors who are staying
Tight end Logan Carter, who will be the top returning receiver among tight ends.
