Oklahoma State football: Kolby Harvell-Peel reverses course, will stay with Cowboys
STILLWATER — After taking some additional time to think about his decision, Oklahoma State safety Kolby Harvell-Peel decided he wasn’t ready to make the NFL leap just yet.
Harvell-Peel announced on Twitter on Monday that has withdrawn his name from the NFL Draft and will stay at Oklahoma State for a fourth season.
A three-year starter dating back to his true freshman season, Harvell-Peel had initially announced his decision to leave last week.
A native of College Station, Texas, he was a first-team All-Big 12 selection as a sophomore in 2019 and a second-team pick this past season. He finished the year with 44 tackles, two interceptions and a quarterback sack.
His decision to stay at OSU means the Cowboys will have returning starters in four of the five defensive back spots next season.
