Three things to know
• OU senior Austin Reaves has been wildly successful against TCU, combining for 73 points in the last two games dating back to last season. He scored 32 points in the Dec. 6 82-78 win over the Horned Frogs, the highest single-game total by any Big 12 player this season. Reaves is coming off a big week, too, combining for 39 points in two road losses at No. 2-ranked Baylor and No. 6-ranked Kansas. He leads all players with 19.4 points per game in conference matchups.
• The Sooners will be without forwards Brady Manek and Jalen Hill for a second straight game due to COVID-19 and contact-tracing protocols. Manek had played in every game throughout his career until Saturday, a streak of 106 straight.
• This is the first meeting between TCU and OU in Norman since the passing of coach Billy Tubbs. He coached both programs for a combined 22 seasons. He led OU for 14 of those, going 333-132 with four Big Eight titles. He also coached TCU for eight seasons, including the 1997-98 season that resulted in a Western Athletic Conference title and the Horned Frog’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in more than a decade.
