OU football: Sooners center Creed Humphrey declares for 2021 NFL Draft

The veteran leader of Oklahoma’s 2020 team (and literal anchor) Creed Humphrey has officially declared for the 2021 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior season.
The announcement is a tough one to swallow for Sooner fans but far from unexpected. Many had held out hope that Humphrey would return for a potential run at a national championship in 2021 (as it seems a handful of others are doing) but Humphrey’s draft stock simply proved too valuable to pass up.
Humphrey will be a major loss as his role leading the offensive line has been orchestral to the Sooners’ success, both on the ground and through the air, for the past three seasons. Humphrey was a three-year starter after redshirting his true freshman season.
