OU football: Toby Rowland to miss Cotton Bowl, Chris Plank will call Sooners' game vs. Florida
NORMAN — OU radio broadcaster Toby Rowland will miss the Cotton Bowl after testing positive for COVID-19 on Christmas Day.
"After experiencing moderate symptoms for 48 hours, I am feeling increasingly better and intend to participate in pregame and postgame coverage while remaining home in isolation," Rowland said in a statement posted on the OU Athletics Twitter account.
The No. 6 Sooners will face No. 7 Florida at 7 p.m. Wednesday at AT&T Stadium.
Chris Plank, the Sooners' sideline reporter since 2011 when Rowland took over as play-by-play voice, will call the game.
Plank has done play-by-play for men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball and other sports during his time at OU.
