About the broadcasters
The ESPN crew of Sean McDonough (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst), Todd McShay (field analyst) and Allison Williams (sideline) have the call. McDonough is a longtime ESPN announcer, joining the network in 1989 and only leaving for a three-year period in the late 90s. The former voice of “Monday Night Football,” McDonough is a leading play-by-play commentator for ESPN college football and basketball games. A former quarterback at Penn State and in the NFL, Blackledge is an analyst for many of ESPN’s college football events, including “College Football Primetime.” McShay joined ESPN in 2006 as a college football and NFL Draft analyst. He made his debut as a field analyst in 2014. Williams joined ESPN in 2011 and covers college football and basketball among other college sports. In 2016, she began covering college football games for ABC/ESPN.
