About the broadcasters
The ESPN crew of Clay Matvick (play-by-play) and Rocky Boiman (analyst) have the call. Matvick joined ESPN in 2006 and has since called games across nearly all college sports — including basketball, baseball, hockey and softball — as well as the Little League World Series. A Minnesota native, he’s won multiple regional Emmys for his play-by-play of the Minnesota High School Hockey Tournament. Boiman is a former Notre Dame star linebacker who played eight seasons in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts. He works as an analyst on ESPN/ABC Saturdays as well as an NFL analyst for BBC radio in London. He’s called four Super Bowls for BBC radio.
