• OSU freshman phenom Cade Cunningham was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week on Monday. He’s one of just seven players in the country averaging at least 18 points, six rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. He’s the only freshman in that group. Cunningham also leads OSU in scoring (18.0), assists (4.5), steals (1.8) and 3-point percentage (46.2%).

• The Cowboys have won eight straight games dating back to last season. They’ve also won 12 of their last 15 dating back to last season. OSU last won nine straight games was an 11-0 start in the 2006-07 season. The Cowboys have also won seven straight home games.

• The Cowboys are 17-5 overall against ORU and 11-1 in Stillwater. OSU won last season’s matchup 80-75 in the season opener, but ORU has won two of the past five games (1997 and 2007). The series between the in-state schools began in 1975.
