Police shoot and kill suspect in OKC, sources say man was involved in homicides, Amber Alert
Authorities said Oklahoma City police shot and killed a suspect early Wednesday, and one officer suffered a non-life-threatening injury following a vehicle pursuit.
The chase started around 4 a.m. near SW 104 and May Avenue and ended downtown near Couch Drive and Lee Avenue, near Oklahoma City Police headquarters.
An exchange of gunfire occurred and the suspect was killed, police said.
Authorities have not released the suspect’s name, however, sources say he is Brandon Milburn, a 37-year-old man who may have been involved in two slayings.
On Tuesday, authorities issued an Amber Alert after police investigating the killing of a female in the 5100 block of Brookdale Drive discovered the toddler was missing. The toddler was later found.
Authorities said they were looking for Milburn.
Also on Tuesday, a man was found shot and dead inside a pickup in the 2400 block of SW 95.
More information would be released as early as Thursday, authorities said.
