Oklahoma high school football: Bethany ends regular season with win against Clinton

Bethany’s young football team got a confidence booster ahead of the Class 4A playoffs.

The Bronchos earned a 23-19 home win Friday against Clinton.

Bethany (5-5, 4-3 District 4A-1) had a rough start to the season, losing its first two games. The Bronchos have steadily improved throughout the year and had one of their best performances of the season against Clinton (5-3, 3-2).

“After some really close losses this year in our district, we were able to kind of close one out in the second half against a quality opponent,” Bethany coach Jon Arthur said.

Jaden Gilliland was one of Bethany’s top players on Friday. The sophomore tailback ran for two touchdowns.
