Early voting kicked off Thursday in all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties. Early in-person voting will continue from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
In Oklahoma County, early voting will occur at the Oklahoma County Election Board, located at 4201 N Lincoln Blvd, and at the Edmond Church of Christ, at 801 S Bryant Ave.
The Oklahoman will have reporters at early-voting polling locations over the next few days. Stay up-to-date with the latest coverage here:
Wait times high again
Day 2 of early voting in Cleveland County on Friday looked a lot like Day 1, with two-hour wait times at the county election board on East Robinson in Norman as of 10 a.m.
Campaign signs filled the median on Lincoln Boulevard outside the Oklahoma County Election Board in Oklahoma City. Motorists were backed up at least one mile north.
A long line of voters snaked from the sidewalk to the voting booths.
Patsy Anderson, 64, was undeterred by what would be at least a 90-minute wait to cast her ballot. "People are serious," she said. "They want a president that will look out for the people, to care about what the people are going through. Maybe they'll see these people are serious. We want change."
As Anderson took her spot in line, others passed by, having voted in what they said was an even crazier election than 2016.
"This is a whole 'nother ballpark," said Heather Presley, 43.
Presley got in line just after 8 a m. She voted just before 10 a.m. She's looking forward to the end of political ads on TV and the Internet. "I'm ready for this to be over," she said.
Amber Kerenge of Norman didn’t mind the two-hour wait to vote Friday at the Cleveland County Election Board.
“I just think it’s important to have your voice heard,” said Kerenge, 35, whose husband is from Tanzania. “In other countries people don’t have this right and this freedom.”
Near noon at the Edmond Church of Christ, voters expressed gratitude, excitement and impatience.
"There is a God," one man said as a Good Samaritan handed out free donuts to those waiting in line.
"That woman said four hours!" one motorist yelled at a woman who stopped driving to ask how long the wait was.
"The historicness of early voting, that's a good thing," said Bono Stewart, 35.
Stewart had been in line for an hour when he joined others who took advantage of someone opening the doors to the activities center, which has restrooms.
"We still got another two hours," he said. "I'm thinking on the 3rd, it's gonna be worse. With the unpredictable weather, it could be worse."
