Oklahoma native Charlie Wilson celebrates fourth week at No. 1 with record-setting hit 'One I Got'
Oklahoma native Charlie Wilson is celebrating his fourth week in a row in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs airplay chart with his new song "One I Got."
As previously reported, his sweet and sizzling new R&B ballad has a hook that pays homage to the Four Tops 1972 hit “Ain’t No Woman Like the One I Got.”
With the song, the former GAP Band frontman sets a new record for the most No. 1 hits by a male artist in the chart's 27-year history, according to Billboard.
"One I Got" becomes Wilson's eighth No. 1 on Adult R&B Songs, breaking him out of a tie with R. Kelly and Maxwell for the most chart-toppers among men in the format. He rises to third place in the genre overall, behind Alicia Keys, with 11 chart-toppers, and Toni Braxton, with nine No. 1 hits.
