Oklahoma high school basketball recruiting: Heritage Hall guard Trey Alexander announces top 7 schools
Trey Alexander, one of the nation's top basketball prospects in the 2021 recruiting class, is closer to making his decision.
The senior guard at Heritage Hall named the top seven schools in his recruitment Tuesday in a Twitter post. He will focus his recruiting on Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Grambling State, Kansas, Oklahoma and Ole Miss.
Alexander also held offers from Florida State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Wake Forest, among numerous others.
He was one of the state's best players during his junior season, scoring 26.6 points per game along with nine rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.6 blocks. He helped the Chargers get back to the Class 4A state tournament, where they won the title in 2018 and were runner-up in 2019.
The four-star guard is widely regarded as one of the nation's top prospects, and he is the top player in Oklahoma heading into the 2020-21 season. Last season, he was named to The Oklahoman's Super 5 first team as well as The Oklahoman's 2020 Little All-City Player of the Year.
