Oklahoma high school football: Former Yukon star, Navy QB Perry Olsen to transfer

Perry Olsen is on the move.

The former Yukon standout quarterback announced Friday his intentions to transfer from Navy. He confirmed his decision in a Twitter post.

Olsen will have three years of eligibility remaining. He spent last season as the backup to Malcolm Perry and was slated to start this season but lost the job to Dalen Morris a week into practice.

Both played in Navy's season-opening loss 55-3 against BYU on Monday. Olsen completed 2-of-4 passes for 14 yards while rushing 10 times for 25 yards, playing the entire second half.

Olsen had lost 20 pounds heading into fall camp and was back to 100% for the first time since he arrived at Navy. Now he'll be finishing his college career elsewhere.
