OKC's 3rd Act Theatre Company bringing 'Frankenstein' to life tonight
3rd Act Theatre Company, a nonprofit theater company in Oklahoma City, is bringing Vincent Hannam’s "Frankenstein," directed by Dakota Lee Bryant, to life starting tonight.
Performances are are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday tonight through Sept. 27. The final Sunday performance will be presented in streaming format, according to a news release.
Hannam’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic novel “tells the story of Victor Frankenstein’s blind ambition to solve the mysteries of life and death as well as The Monster’s desire for love and understanding. Caught between these destructive forces is the strong-willed, yet doomed, Elizabeth.”
The production stars just three actors, each taking on multiple roles. Ford Filson, Kat Adams and Peter Fischaber are the entire cast.
3rd Act’s theater is located in the Shoppes at NorthPark (entrance near its bar partners, Hacienda Tacos), located at NW 122 and N May.
As previously reported, 3rd Act Theatre Company was founded in 2018 and is celebrating its second season, which has the theme “Power,” by providing quality productions that entertain, educate, and enlighten through the shared experience of live theater. Dedicated to inclusion through family-friendly theater as well as works based on classic literature for all ages, demographics and life experiences, 3rd Act Theatre Company offers real-world educational and professional experience to local artists and technicians aspiring to a life or career in the theater arts.
