HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SALLY
Birthday party: A group of friends celebrated Sally Blake’s 74th birthday with a party in her home. They toasted the honoree with glasses of wine and Fanny Bolen brought chicken salad sandwich sliders and they had a Raspberries n’ Creme birthday cake. At the event were Marsha Zahn, Fanny Bolen, Martha Bradshaw, Lorinda Crouch, Kathy Rodgers and Dahl Luttrell.
IN-PERSON ART OPENING
JRB Art at The Elms event: An exhibition opening called “Continuum: The Indefinite Progress of Existence,” featured the narrative collage paintings, drawings and three-dimensional objects by Denise Duong. There was an outdoor and indoor sculpture by Gabriel Friedman and paintings by Rebecca Wheeler. Duong and Friedman also collaborated on the creation of 10 large free-standing human figures that were placed inside and outside of the JRB Art at The Elms Gallery.
Re-opening: This was the first in-person exhibit at JRB Art at The Elms in five months. A computerized sign-up system was used so that guests could social distance. “Continuum” will be on display through October.
