Video: OKC indie rockers Special Thumbs release full-length debut album 'So Who Do You Know?'
Oklahoma City indie rockers Special Thumbs release today their full-length debut album “So Who Do You Know?”
As previously reported, the band – which describe its music as “melodically exploring rock, psych and pop” – released in summer 2019 the trippy aquatic-theme video to its single “Guppy,” the psychedelic animated clip for “Rise” and the based-on-true events hallucinogenic trip "Moonbow."
They followed it up with the colorful animated video for "Fabricated" and my personal favorite, the fast-moving collage clip for the throwback rocker "You're Sweet."
Originally formed by Colorado natives Joey Riley (vocals/lyrics/keys) and Patrick Greene (vocals/lyrics/guitar), who’ve been friends since junior high, the band takes its name from a passing conversation about finger painting. The moniker stuck and has since come to signify the band’s appreciation for all artistic expressions and mediums.
After a couple years, Riley and Greene welcomed Ryan McGuire (drums) to the line-up. And now, the three go by Chiefy Roon, Pablo Tortoise, and Animal, respectively, on stage.
