Video: OKC band Stepmom celebrating debut album release with concert tonight at Scissortail Park
Oklahoma City orchestral punk band Stepmom will celebrate the release of its debut album release in concert at 8 tonight at Scissortail Park, 300 SW 7.
Endocrine Twins will open. The show is free and open to the public, and patrons can distance on the park’s Great Lawn. For more information, go to scissortailpark.org.
The OKC artist collective Factory Obscura will live-stream the show in partnership with Uncovering Oklahoma tonight at www.facebook.com/factoryobscura.
Stepmom is billed as "the manifestation of the inner consciousness of lead singer and guitarist Lindsey Cox." Due out Saturday, the band's self-titled album features dreamy three-part harmonies, ambient cello and synth contrasted with angsty guitar riffs and powerful lead vocals.
The album was produced and mixed by Tyler Garcia at 33rd St. Studio and was mastered by Kevin Lively.
