Watch: Kristin Chenoweth talks Oklahoma coronavirus experience, sparkly shoes and upcoming Netflix movie 'Holidate' on 'Live with Kelly and Ryan'
Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth appeared earlier this week on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" for a wide-ranging chat.
The Tony and Emmy winner showed off a pair of sparkly skyscraper heels and chatted about how the coronavirus pandemic has changed so many aspects of her life, from her wardrobe choices to her tour plans.
The Broken Arrow native said she recently returned to Oklahoma when her father had back surgery and experienced a scary COVID-19 moment when she had to just drop him off at the hospital since visitors were being strictly limited.
Chenoweth was due to tour extensively this year in support of her new album "For the Girls," which she released last fall, but the dates were canceled in light of the pandemic. She said she expects to bring back her tour in 2021 with more outdoor venues on the schedule.
"I'm spending my time trying to figure out what it's going to look like," she said.
She also dished on her upcoming Netflix Christmas movie "Holidate," apologizing in advance for playing the fun-loving aunt of Emma Roberts' character.
Chenoweth's previous yuletide movie, the 2019 Hallmark holiday release "A Christmas Love Story," co-starring Scott Wolfe, will debut on DVD on Oct. 27.
In addition, the Oklahoma City University graduate took to social media today to sweetly wish her legendary vocal professor Florence Birdwell a happy birthday:
