Coronavirus in Oklahoma: The Jones County Fair planned at Jones Assembly
With the Oklahoma State Fair canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Jones Assembly channeling the spirit of the fall event with The Jones County Fair Sept. 15-19 on its spacious and socially distanced patio.
The Jones Assembly chef team will be preparing classic fair foods like funnel cakes, caramel apples, corn on the cob, corn dogs and sheet pan pizza from the patio walk-up window all week long. Plus, all of The Jones' classic cocktails will be on tap.
Local musicians will perform live from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 15-18, with a special Saturday afternoon performance Sept. 19 by 1990s country cover band Boot Scoot’n Bougie, according to a news release.
“We feel lucky to have a large patio space we can utilize and provide our guests some safe and fair fun, pun intended” says Scott Marsh, The Jones Assembly's director of operations, in a statement.
The Jones Assembly is using modified hours, opening at 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Jones County Fair will take place on the patio and is open to the public with reduced capacity.
No reservations will be required for the patio; seating is first come first serve. Reservations for dinner and brunch in the dining room can be made at www.thejonesassembly.com or in the Resy app.
