See the Alabama State shoes that OKC Thunder guard Chris Paul wore in Rockets playoff game
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul chose to wear shoes for Monday's NBA Playoff game against the Houston Rockets that honor Alabama State University.
Since the NBA restart in Orlando, Paul has worn shoes that recognize historically Black colleges and universities. He's previously worn shoes that celebrate North Carolina A&T, Alabama A&M, Howard, Livingstone and Albany State, according to Slam.
The Jordan's that Paul wore Monday were black across the top and bottom with yellow along the back and since of the ankles. It said "Alabama State" on the inside of his right ankle, and it said "ASU" on the back of Paul's left heel.
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Houston Rockets 117-114 in Monday's Game 4 of the best-of-seven first-round series. The OKC win evened the series at 2-2.
Paul scored 26 points with six rebounds and three assists on Monday.
Paul is in his first season with the Thunder. He is also the president of the National Basketball Players Association.
From 2003-05, Paul played college basketball at Wake Forest. He earned Atlantic Coast Conference all-conference honors in both 2003-04 and 2004-05.
