Big 12 football: Nebraska hasn't contacted conference about playing games
Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby didn’t waste much time talking about Nebraska during his teleconference with reporters discussing the future of Big 12 football on Wednesday.
Asked if Nebraska — which stated on Tuesday that it would pursue a fall football season even though the Big Ten Conference had postponed its season — had contacted the Big 12 Conference, Bowlsby simply answered, “They have not.”
Nebraska, a former member of the Big 12, would be a natural fit as a nonconference game for many teams in the conference, however it might be too late. Most Big 12 teams already have aligned with a nonconference opponent, including OU against Missouri State and OSU against Tulsa.
