OSU football: Cowboys' defensive back changes name; new jersey numbers unveiled

STILLWATER — With a new football season beginning with practice Wednesday morning, Oklahoma State unveiled its roster.

And that means new jersey numbers for returning players and newcomers.

It also meant a name change for one of the Cowboys’ key defensive backs. Jarrick Bernard has added to his last name, which is now Bernard-Converse. Last season, he started at safety but this spring moved to cornerback.

Other number changes for returning players include running back LD Brown now wearing No. 0, linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga switching to No. 7. 

Graduate transfer Christian Holmes, a cornerback, will also wear No. 0. Graduate transfer receiver Dee Anderson will wear No. 11, while transfer linebacker Lamont Bishop will also wear No. 11. Quarterback transfer Ethan Bullock will wear No. 6, while offensive lineman graduate transfer Josh Sills will wear No. 72. Defensive linemen transfers Tyren Irby and Collin Clay will wear No. 91 and 93, respectively.

Freshmen also officially received their jersey numbers. Here’s a complete list:
