High school girls basketball recruiting: Norman forward Chantae Embry announces top 4 schools
One of Oklahoma's top basketball prospects is nearing her decision.
Norman's Chantae Embry announced her top four schools through a Twitter post on Monday afternoon, narrowing her recruiting list to Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri State and Texas A&M.
“Thank you so much to all the schools that have been recruiting me,” the incoming senior wrote. “but at this time I have decided to focus on these four schools!”
The 6-foot-1 forward averaged 16.8 points per game to help lead Norman to a 24-1 record and a Class 6A state tournament playoff berth last season.
Embry, who spent her first two seasons at Prague, missed the entire 2018-19 season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee. She moved to Norman last season and was a star on the talented roster.
She was named to the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference first team and The Oklahoman’s Big All-City second team.
She also held offers from many other schools, such as Colorado, LSU and Wichita State.
