Coronavirus in Oklahoma: 1,244 new cases; 8 new deaths
Oklahoma reported 1,244 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.
A total of 37,731 cases have been reported in Oklahoma since the pandemic began earlier this year. The 7-day average of daily cases hit a new high at 1,052.
Eight new deaths were reported Saturday by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. The total number of deaths reported from the virus is 549.
The Health Department reported that 1,095 Oklahomans are considered to have recovered from the virus. The total number of recovered patients totals 30,282. People are considered to be recovered when they are 14 days beyond the onset of symptoms or a positive test and not hospitalized or dead.
