Airport OnCue to open
OnCue will open a new store near the Amazon warehouses in Lariat Landing at Will Rogers World Airport.
The Oklahoma City Airport Trust on Thursday approved a 25-year lease with OnCue Marketing. It is the first retail business in the growing development.
OnCue's filling station, restaurant and convenience store will occupy about 5.5 acres of a 37-acre tract off Interstate 44 at SW 104 Street and Portland Avenue.
Just this week, newly filed building permits showed Amazon plans a 1 million-square-foot warehouse in Lariat Landing.
That facility is going in just north of the online retailer's recently opened 2.6 million-square-foot warehouse at SW 89 and Portland, a mile from the OnCue site.
Once complete, Amazon will have about 2,700 employees in the two facilities.
The 1,000-acre Lariat Landing is being developed on trust-owned property on the east side of the airport.
As part of the airport, Lariat Landing is within a Foreign Trade Zone, a designation providing cargo logistics and tariff-related advantages for companies that trade internationally, according to Airport Trust promotional materials.

Facilities in Lariat Landing have access to airport taxiways and runways to the west, and the Interstate highway system on the east side, creating an efficient interface between air and ground transportation.
