Butkus Award watch list includes OU football's DaShaun White, OSU's Amen Ogbongbemiga and Malcolm Rodriguez

Oklahoma State is one of six schools in the country with multiple players on the Butkus Award watch list.

The Butkus Award honors the top linebackers in college football.

OSU's Amen Ogbongbemiga and Malcolm Rodriguez made the list, as did OU's DaShaun White.

Ogbongbemiga was a second-team All-Big 12 pick last year when he had 100 tackles, including 15.5 for loss. He was sixth in the Big 12 in tackles. Rodriguez was also a second-team all-league pick, finishing with 103 tackles — fourth in the Big 12 — as a junior. His interception return for a touchdown against Iowa State with the score tied and less than seven minutes remaining helped the Cowboys pull of that victory.

White moved into a bigger role last year for the Sooners, starting all 14 games and finishing fourth on the team with 52 tackles. He's expected to shift over to middle linebacker this season, stepping into the spot Kenneth Murray occupied the last three years.

Other Big 12 players on the list include Baylor's Tererell Bernard, Texas Tech's Riko Jeffers, Texas' Joseph Ossai, Iowa State's Mike Rose and TCU's Garrett Wallow.

Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M joined the Cowboys as teams with multiple players on the watch list. The Buckeyes are the only program with three players on the list.
