OSU football: McGuinness star Dominic Richardson joining Cowboys, per report
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State has added some in-state talent at an important position with the report Thursday that former McGuinness running back Dominic Richardson will join the Cowboys.
Richardson initially signed with TCU last December, but was released from his scholarship in May after the Horned Frogs added two elite running backs. News of Richardson picking OSU was first reported by 247Sports.com.
Richardson can enroll at OSU immediately.
The Cowboys will be in need of running back depth after the 2020 season, when Chuba Hubbard is expected to depart for the NFL, and LD Brown and Micah Cooper will have exhausted their eligibility.
The 6-foot, 205-pound Richardson was No. 4 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 for the 2020 recruiting class. He helped McGuinness to the Class 5A state finals last fall, finishing with 1,719 yards and 17 touchdowns on 169 carries.
