Walmart+ looking to compete with Amazon Prime

Amazon, Walmart is coming for you.

It’s being reported that Walmart will launch this month its new subscription-based membership program called Walmart+ at a cost of $98 a year with fast home delivery and other perks such as same-day grocery delivery, fuel discounts and early access to deals.

It’ll be interesting to see if Walmart can knock Amazon Prime off its throne.

This is probably a good time for the launch though since more and more people are ordering goods online and opting for grocery delivery and pickup. And it’s possible retail curbside pickup may become the new normal.

Anyway, here’s a Modern Retail story about how Walmart is trying to compete with Amazon.
