OKC Thunder signs Devon Hall as substitute player

The Thunder has signed Devon Hall as a substitute player for the season restart, general manager Sam Presti announced Saturday.

It will be Hall's second stint with the team this season. Hall signed a two-way contract with the Thunder last September. He appeared in five games before being waived Dec. 12

Hall is essentially the substitute player for Luguentz Dort, who was formerly on a two-way contract before signing a standard NBA contract Wednesday

Two-way substitute players, like Hall, will become unrestricted free agents at the end of the season.

Hall, a 6-foot-5 guard, was picked by the Thunder in the second round of the 2018 draft after a four-year career at Virginia.

Hall scored five points for the Thunder this season in 20 total minutes.

Hall played for the Oklahoma City Blue after being waived by the Thunder. He made 30 G League starts, averaging 15.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. The 24-year-old shot 45.2% from the floor and 36% from 3-point range.

The Thunder's roster is now full at 17 players. The team is scheduled to arrive at Disney World on July 8. After three weeks of training camp, the Thunder will open the season restart Aug. 1 against the Jazz
