High school baseball: Sooners offer sophomore Morgan Pearson

ARDMORE -- Two weeks after receiving his first Division I offer to play baseball, Plainview’s Morgan Pearson announced on his Twitter account he received an offer from Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon.

Oklahoma State offered the sophomore on June 1

Pearson, a 6-foot-2, 197-pound athlete, is a right-handed pitcher and outfielder.

He recently participated in the Perfect Game showcase, where his 85-mph fastball and bat speed drew strong reviews compared to other sophomores.

Pearson is a dual-sport athlete in football and baseball. As a wide receiver last season, he helped lead Plainview to the Class 3A 2019 state championship game. He has received a D-I offer from Illinois State to play football.
