MLB Draft: OU's Dane Acker selected in fourth round by Oakland Athletics
The tweet says it all.
Dane Acker "pitched a no-no earlier this year. He'll fit right in."
Not only did the Sooner right-hander pitch a no-hitter, he did so in the ballpark of Oakland's American League West rival, the Houston Astros.
Acker shut down LSU on March 1 at Minute Maid Park, one of the top highlights of the short-lived 2020 college baseball season.

Mike Fiers threw Oakland's most-recent no-hitter on May 7 last season against Cincinnati.
Acker posted a 3.51 earned-run average this season for OU.
The Athletics drafted OU outfielder and quarterback Kyler Murray ninth overall in 2018, but he opted to stick with football after winning the Heisman Trophy and going No. 1 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft to the Arizona Cardinals.
