Oklahoma baseball commit Ed Howard was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the first round of the MLB Draft on Wednesday.
Howard, a shortstop, was selected No. 16 overall. He was considered the 15th best prospect in the draft by MLB.com.
A Chicago product himself, Howard starred on the Jackie Robinson West team that made the 2014 Little League World Series. Now, he's a 6-foot-3, 193 pound star from Mount Carmel High.
