OU football: Caleb Williams, top 2021 quarterback recruit, sets commitment date

Caleb Williams has set a date.

Williams, the top quarterback prospect in the 2021 recruiting class, told Sports Illustrated on Monday that he will announce his college destination on July 4.

The Gonzaga College High School star out of Washington, D.C., lists LSU, Maryland and Oklahoma as his finalists.

"Coming out with a few cool things when it gets to that point, but July 4 is the day that fireworks will be shooting up into the sky with all of the commits," Williams wrote on SI.com. "The guys and coaches will be going crazy and hopefully the fans go crazy, too. I'm committing to one of these three schools."
