Former Putnam North football star Will Taylor leaves Missouri State

Will Taylor is leaving the Missouri State football program.

The former Putnam North standout announced Saturday on Twitter he has entered the transfer portal.

Taylor was named The Oklahoman’s Big All-City Defensive Player of the Year after a productive senior season in 2018. He had 132 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions while playing linebacker. Taylor also earned a spot on The Oklahoman’s All-State first team.

Taylor, who is listed as a defensive end, played several positions throughout his career at Putnam North. Along with being a linebacker and defensive end, he contributed as a tight end and H-back.
