Moisturizing hand creams and lotions to try
I know I’m not the only one who keeps reaching for the hand cream.
It’s the routine we’re in – wash hands for 20 seconds, then slather with lotion. Over and over.
I have several different brands of hand lotion and creams, but the one I reach for most often – at least for my hands – is Naked Bee hand and body lotion in the orange blossom honey scent. It's great, but I feel I need to up the moisture.
What I probably need is the Naked Bee Serious Hand Repair Cream. It’s pumped up with shea butter and safflower seed oil, along with honey and ceramide 3 to soften and heal severely dry or cracked skin. My skin isn’t cracked, and I want to keep it that way.
Nurses who know a thing or two about washing their hands dozens of times a day and then lathering up have a different favorite, according to story that originally appeared on health.com.
The product many nurses and others reach for is L’Occitane’s Shea Butter Hand Cream. It’s a company best-seller with one tube purchased every 2 seconds by customers around the globe. That’s quite an endorsement.
The cream is formulated with 20 percent organic shea butter for a rich consistency to hydrate skin and protect it. It also has moisturizing ingredients almond oil, honey, Vitamin E and coconut oil and is quick drying and non-greasy.
L’Occitane hand cream may be my next purchase. And I’ll probably add Naked Bee’s serious hand cream, too. It never hurts to have an arsenal of moisturizing creams and lotions on hand. Literally.
