High school girls basketball recruiting: Tulsa offers Jones freshman guard Boston Berry

Boston Berry has jumped onto the radar of Division-I programs.

On Saturday afternoon, Jones’ freshman point guard announced she received an offer from Tulsa, the second Division-I program to offer Berry this week. She received her first offer from Texas Tech on Thursday.

This year, Berry averaged 6.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists as Jones girls basketball won its first area championship and made its first state tournament appearance.

“She’s going to be fun to watch for the next three more years,” Jones coach Jenni Holbrook said. “She has that point guard mentality. She likes to get it to her bigs and see them score. For a lot of coaches that’s very appealing.”

The 5-foot-7 guard served as the only freshman in the starting lineup for Jones who recorded a 26-1 record this year.

Louisiana Tech has also shown interest in Berry.
