Oklahoma high school senior spotlight: Mount St. Mary tennis player Emily Emery was aiming for big season

Emily Emery, Mount St. Mary girls tennis: Emery was primed for a solid season before the coronavirus pandemic canceled all high school sports in the state. After transferring from Bixby and having to sit out her sophomore year, Emery proved herself in 2019 and was Mount St. Mary’s top player heading into her senior season. Emery, who doesn’t play other sports, was disappointed with the cancellation but will continue her tennis career at Oklahoma Baptist. “She’s been playing tennis for a long time,” Mount St. Mary coach Leroy Cantrell said. “She’s got a great attitude, got a great game. Very good competitor, great team player. Always supports her teammates.”
