Cymirah Williams, Millwood girls basketball: Williams was preparing to play a key role for Millwood in her final chance at a Class 3A state championship before the postseason was canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak. The forward averaged 12.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game as Millwood put together an overall record of 23-4 in the 2019-20 season. “She’s definitely an ideal player,” Millwood coach Dava Albert said. “She’s going to work for you, not going to give you any backtalk and she’s very encouraging. She was a great teammate and athlete to coach.” Williams, who has a 3.67 grade-point average, will be a student-athlete at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.
