Remember the Titans wins movie bracket challenge

For the last few weeks, The Oklahoman's sports desk has been running a March Madness-style movie bracket challenge online.

We started with a field of 64 teams and whittled it down to Final Four field of No. 1 seeds Remember the Titans and Rocky, No. 2 Hoosiers and No. 5 Field of Dreams.

There were a lot of great movies in the bracket, but, in the end, Remember the Titans was the winner. Remember the Titans received 37.9 percent of the vote among the four teams in the Final Four — the second place movie, Hoosiers, received 25.7 percent.

The story of Coach Herman Boone and the integration of T.C. Williams High School and its football team is worth rewatching. And with no sports to watch, Remember the Titans — and all of the movies in this bracket — offer a way to fill the void sports left behind.
