Oklahoma City Events! Helen Ford Wallace
Editor’s note: As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve, we know many things are uncertain. During this time, we will continue to share with you pictures of people doing things at home that we receive via email. Please send others to us.
We hope that Oklahomans' creative spirit and party planning ideas will inspire us to return to the wonderful art of the party when the time is right. Also, please remember that the party pictures in this column were taken before Oklahoma City started social distancing. We have a few more party pictures that we have not yet printed.

Officially at home
Celebrate a birthday: Here is a good idea on how to celebrate a birthday during social distancing. A couple of weeks ago, Wyatt Lang’s family and friends secretly organized a surprise parade in his honor. He watched from his front yard in Edmond as cars filled with his special people drove by his house. Party-goers made homemade signs, played music and threw special treats out of their car windows including cards, candy and a roll of toilet paper. 50 people came by to celebrate Wyatt’s 12th birthday.
Picnic in the backyard
Former Oklahomans Victoria and Mark Eaton and their children Andrew and Elliot, currently of South Paseda, California, are having picnics in their backyard. Victoria is a former Oklahoma City resident. They go to various parts of the yard using a blanket or they set up picnics on their outdoor furniture.
Grow your garden
