Report: NBA shutting down team training facilities

All NBA team training facilities will be shut down to players and and staff starting Friday, The Athletic's Shams Charania first reported Thursday

It's the latest league measure to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

"As much as franchises wanted players to have an outlet to come get work in, teams and league were uneasy about contact even in that limited environment," added ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski

Players are allowed to travel outside of their team markets, but not outside of North America, according to Wojnarowski.

While practice facilities close, ESPN's Bobby Marks reported that teams are continuing to prepare for the NBA draft. The draft is scheduled for June 25, but the entire league schedule is in flux.
