Report: NBA teams expect G League season to soon be canceled
The rest of the G League season could be the first cut from the NBA calendar due to the coronavirus pandemic.
ESPN reported Sunday night that "NBA teams operating G League franchises expect the rest of the minor-league season will soon be canceled."
The G League Oklahoma City Blue has eight games remaining on its regular season schedule.
The Blue played in Stockton, California on Wednesday night, when the NBA announced it was suspending its season.
"Beyond obvious calendar issues," ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported, "the fact G League teams travel on commercial airlines and generally are money drains for NBA teams make it even harder to move forward for the rest of the season."
